I was humbled to be asked to be involved with the University of Melbourne Introduction to Terror Medicine Principle and Responses course this year.
To share detail on one of New Zealand's worst days, the March 15th, 2019 terrorist attack in Christchurch with faculty and students who are determined to not let terror win.Alongside Colonel (Ret.) Miri Eisin & Prof. Pinchas (Pinny) Halpern from the International Institute of Counter Terrorism I had the privilege to share and delve into some of these issues in the final panel discussion recently for the students.
Thank you to Dr Derrick Tin, George Braitberg AM OStJ and Marion Orchison for the invite and support.A day that changed so many lives, where so many lives were lost, so many others lost so much, hate showed its ugly face, courage and honour shone bright, and in the days, weeks, months and years following love stood above all else.
This is where my passion and the team I work alongside passion was born from, to learn from these events and improve systems, ourselves and to impart knowledge so that others may not suffer the same fate
Kia Kaha (stay strong)
